Who we're looking for

You'll build the system audiologists and store teams keep open all day — customer journeys, bookings, audiograms, the sales pipeline and HQ reporting. What ships today is used with real customers tomorrow. You'll own work end to end in a small team, from the problem to production.
Core responsibilities
Own features end to end: watch a store at work, interview audiologists, design the data model, build front and back end, ship, and measure how it's used
Build the multi-tenant, multi-store data layer: role-based access, audit logs and data isolation
Keep it fast at the store's busiest hour: query performance, caching and the experience on a weak connection
Work with the ML team to turn AI fitting suggestions and the AI assistant tono™ into features stores actually use
Keep the bar high: code review, automated tests and observability

What we require
3+ years building software, or an equivalent body of work
Strong TypeScript / JavaScript and React or a similar framework
Hands-on experience with back-end services and a relational database (PostgreSQL or similar)

Experience with healthcare, retail or multi-tenant SaaS
Security and privacy practice: access control, encryption, auditing

What to send
Your job looks a lot like being the customer's CTO. You'll embed with hearing-aid chains — HQ and stores — connect their workflows, data and existing systems to SONUS, and take the rollout from a pilot store to every store. Then you'll turn each one-off into a capability the next customer gets out of the box.
Core responsibilities
Interview store managers, audiologists and HQ on site, and turn real workflows into configuration and product requirements
Own data migration: clean, de-duplicate and import from spreadsheets, legacy POS / ERP, Noah and more
Build integrations and reports: APIs, webhooks, LINE notifications, single sign-on
Launch pilot stores, train users, track adoption, and bring field feedback back to product
Abstract one-off work into reusable product features
What we value
You find structure in messy, real-world operations
You're as comfortable with audiologists and store managers as with engineers
You own the customer's outcome, not just the ticket
What we require
2+ years in software engineering, data engineering or technical consulting
Strong in at least one of Python, TypeScript or SQL — you solve problems by writing code
Able to travel to customer stores as projects need (around 25–40%)
Fluent Chinese; able to read technical English
Nice to have
Have rolled out ERP, POS, CRM or health information systems
Familiar with data pipelines and ETL
Have worked in retail stores or a clinical setting
What to send
You'll build the AI in SONUS: fitting suggestions from the audiogram and lifestyle needs, an assistant that reads the customer's record and answers correctly, and models that spot who needs a follow-up. Every model has to be explainable and measurable — and the audiologist always decides.
Core responsibilities
Design, train and ship models such as fitting suggestions and follow-up prediction, from data cleaning to monitoring
Build the LLM-based assistant: retrieval (RAG), tool use, prompting and evaluation
Build the evaluation loop: offline metrics, audiologist review and post-launch monitoring
Design data flows under privacy rules: de-identification, least privilege, data residency
Work with audiologists and acoustic engineers to turn clinical knowledge into signal

Strong Python and at least one deep-learning framework (PyTorch or similar)

Recommender systems or time-series forecasting
What to send
You'll make hearing-aid acoustics the core of the system: gain and output for each model, receiver and dome combinations, feedback and real-ear measurement. Your work decides how good the AI's fitting suggestions are.
Core responsibilities
Build and maintain acoustic data for hearing-aid products: frequency response, maximum output, receiver and dome combinations
Define fitting logic and rules, and validate suggestion quality with the ML team
Analyse real-ear (REM) and coupler measurements and find what can be automated
Investigate noise, feedback and sound-quality issues and support stores' technical questions
Write technical guides and training for audiologists and stores

A degree in acoustics, electrical engineering, physics or a related field
2+ years of acoustics work on hearing aids, headphones or audio products
Familiar with acoustic measurement (coupler, real-ear or similar) and DSP fundamentals
Data analysis in Python or MATLAB
Nice to have
Know prescriptive formulas such as NAL-NL2 and DSL v5
Experience at a hearing-aid manufacturer or dispensing channel
A background in psychoacoustics
What to send
You're the clinical voice of the product team. You'll define SONUS's clinical workflows, review AI suggestions and train customer stores — making sure everything the system does meets professional and regulatory standards.
Core responsibilities
Design the workflows and record formats for testing, fitting, trials and follow-ups (audiograms, SOAP notes, service records)
Review and label AI fitting suggestions and set clinical quality standards
Lead clinical training during rollouts and gather field feedback
Write clinical content: knowledge base, articles and store procedures
Track regulatory and privacy requirements for clinical records

Make a system people use eight hours a day genuinely good: the store counter, the audiologist in the test room, HQ's operations review. You'll go from field observation all the way to shipped product.

Own the design system and component library across both products
Design data visualisation: revenue, audiograms, the pipeline and store ranking
Work closely with engineers so what ships is what was designed
